The 2008 World Champions Philadelphia Phillies (15-14, 3rd) begin a three-games home stand with the 2008 National League Western Division Champions Los Angeles Dodgers (22-11, 1st National League West). The game will be played at Citizens Bank Park and will start at 7:05 pm Eastern. The Phillies will send to the mound Chan Ho Park (0-1, 6.67), who is still looking for his first win as a Phil. His last start, on May 6 against the Mets, was his first quality start of the year, as he went six strong innings, giving up no runs on one hit and two walks, while striking out five, in the Phils’ 1-0 lost. He will be trying to pitch his first quality start at home while trying to stop the Phils present two games slide. The Dodgers will counter with Clayton Kershaw (1-2, 4.91), who is coming off a win against the Nationals, as he went five innings, giving up just a run on four hits and three walks, while he struck out five, in the Dodgers’ 10-3 blowout win. Kershaw will be trying to even his win-lost record at the Phils’ expense. The Phillies will be trying to take advantage of the Dodgers being without Manny Ramirez, as he continue his 50-games suspension, while trying to leave the Bank with their second series win at home.
