Cole Hamels (9-2, 2.49) got the win as he pitched seven and one plus strong innings, giving up just one run on three hits and one walk, while striking out six. David Herndon pitched two scoreless innings, giving up three hits, while striking out two. Chris Volstad (2-7, 6.07) took the lost as he went five and two-thirds innings, getting hammered for eight runs on ten hits and two walks, while striking out two. Edward Mujica pitched one and one-third innings, giving up a run on a hit and a walk. Steve Cishek pitched a 1-2-3 inning, striking out a batter.
The Phils had eleven hits in the game, with Shane Victorino leading the team with three hits, two singles and a double, as he raised his batting average to .288. Jimmy Rollins (Single, Home Run, 2 RBIs), Chase Utley (Double, Home Run, 2 RBIs) and Dom Brown (2 Home Runs, 2 RBIs), all followed him with two hits each.
