The Phils got the run back in their half of the fifth as, with one man on, and with two men out, Lee helped his cause again as he hits an RBI triple, the first triple of his major league career, knocking in Ruf, who had started the inning off with a single, giving the Phils an 8-1 lead. The Phils then made it a 9-1 lead as Hernandez hits an RBI single, scoring Lee. The Marlins made it a 9-2 Phils’ lead in the top of the sixth as, with a runner on second, and with two men out, Ruggiano hits an RBI double, knocking in Ed Lucas, who had started the inning off with a double. The Phils increased their lead in their half of the sixth as, with one man on, and with two men out, Ruf hits a two-run home run, his fourteenth home run of the season, knocking in Brown, who had just walked, giving the Phils an 11-2 lead. The Phils made it a 12-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh as, with a man on third, and with nobody out, Lee helped his cause one more time as he hits an RBI single, knocking in Bernadina, who had started the inning off with a triple. That would be the final score as Ethan Martin pitched a scoreless ninth.
