The Phils would get a run back in their half of the fourth as, with runners on second and third, and with nobody out, Wil Nieves, who had started the inning off with a single, then moved all the way to third base on pitcher Paxton’s throwing error of Blanco’s grounder, allowing Blanco to reach second base, would score on catcher Sucre’s passed ball, making it a 3-2 Mariners’ lead, while Blanco would move up to third base. The Phils then tied the game up at three-all two batters later as Ben Revere hits an RBI ground out, 6-3, scoring Blanco. Jonathan Papelbon received his thirtieth save of the year by pitching a scoreless ninth, giving up a hit, while striking out two. James Paxton (3-1, 2.20) took the lost as he pitched just four innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, two walks, a passed ball and a wild pitch, while striking out five. Tom Wilhelmsen, Joe Beimel, Brandon Maurer and Danny Farquhar combined for four scoreless innings, giving up three hits (Wilhelmsen (2), Maurer (1)) and a walk (Wilhelmsen) between them, while striking out four (Wilhelmsen (1), Beimel (1), Maurer (1), Farquhar (2)).

The Phils had ten hits in the game, with Wil Nieves (2 Singles, Double) leading the team with three hits, followed by Jimmy Rollins (Single, Double) with two hits.
